Big Sur Styles Guide Service (BSSGS) is proud to announce our 2018 Spring, Summer and Fall destinations and dates.
YEAR ROUND FLYFISHING ($300.00 for 1/2 day $450.00 for a full day)
BSSGS is open for year round (Closed Dec./Feb.) still water Striped Bass fly fishing in San Luis Res./O’Neill Forebay – weather permitting (wind must be below 10mph).
TROUT SEASON (4/28/18-10/31/18 ($300.00 per person for 1/2 day)
For trout, starting the last weekend in April (4/28-4/29) BSSGS specializes in still water and small creek fly fishing in the northern Big Sur/Los Padres range. Stillwater flyfishing will be done from float tubes. Small creek flyfishing is a hike in, strenuous outing in remote areas of Big Sur for fit, healthy individuals looking for feisty, Big Sur rainbows. All the trout fishing either in a lake or creek, requires some hiking into remote areas. This is not recommended for people w/health issues as there are no immediate medical facilities and little or no cell phone services available.
LAKE ALMANOR FOR RAINBOWS AND BROWN TROUT/SMALL MOUTH BASS (June 15-July 3) ($200.00 per person for an evening starting at 5pm and going to dark)
Starting Friday June 15 I will be float tube guiding at Lake Almanor for big browns, rainbows and small mouth bass. This is your chance to land a “FISH OF A LIFETIME” as L. Almanor is world famous for it’s giant browns. This is our most popular destination of the year and fills up fast.
